getting quiet... For me, getting to the quiet means going analogue... (there is no shortage of irony that I baldly state this while I type on a computer...) Yesterday I had a brief but gorgeous temper tantrum, one of my finest, after I could not figure out how to get on a zoom call I'd really been looking forward to. I tried everything (which is to say, Brian tried everything because he is the one I caterwaul to when technological flunderbijits happen...). But nothing. (If they didn't why would we ever knowingly walk into the wall?) I myself have made some...

practicing presence... We live in a great neighborhood for walking. Like most of the places on Cape, it's a bit like a rabbit warren, where one road weaves into another, feathering off in a few different directions that eventually loop back, allowing for all sorts of possibilities for routes. It's entirely residential and off the main connector roads, so it's quiet except for the light traffic of those who live here year round. For the last few months, we've been walking the neighborhood....
